Transactional vs. Transformational Style
A manager is only relying on its power and authority on the job. His management style is transactional, he only ordered what should be done by the subordinate. Meanwhile, a leader has a style transformation, where they have the ability to encourage the follower to follow him, by emphasizing the values that will be obtained as a follower of reciprocity.

Work vs. People Focus
A manager is only focused to finish the job alone, to continue the tasks to subordinates, despite the barriers of time and funds. Meanwhile, a leader of a people focus, where they can establish good relationships with people, and encourage people to work achieve their vision. So leaders are not only trying to reach the goal, instead of focusing so people to want to achieve that goal.

Attitude Of Conflict
Managers and leaders also have a different attitude in the face of conflict. A manager tends to avoid and minimize conflicts. Meanwhile, a leader instead of conflict and the issues raised need to be settled so happens that changes both in order to achieve its objectives.

Decide

A manager tends to be reactive, ie trying to stop when there are problems, minimize impacts generated, to blame a particular party. In contrast to a leader who is proactive manner, namely courage to admit mistakes, and soon mastered the situation and create effective solutions.
